Before I started this site, I used to blog about travel. I started my travel blog in 2011, just before I was about to leave on an 8 month trip to Latin America without a fixed itinerary.

Over four trips between 2009 and 2013, I went to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.

My focus on Latin America in my backpacking days probably means I won’t develop a huge list of countries I’ve visited. In the last year few, I have picked destinations in combination with the hunt for a flat, fast marathon (Berlin and Amsterdam so far).
